Quick start
Everything you need to begin, in six steps.
- Open the Looper from ddmatrix.eu. Sign in, go to Software and press Open (or use your bookmark or home screen icon). A copy of the page saved to a file does not work.
- Place the camera. Put your computer, laptop, tablet or phone on a stand, side view of you, whole bow and draw arm in the picture.
- Press START LOOPER. A small window asks who is training: keep the name, type another one, or continue as noname. Saved clips go into that athlete’s folder. Then allow the camera and the microphone.
- Choose how the shot is detected (gear ⚙ at the top left):
- MIC: the microphone hears the shot. Press Calibrate (3 shots) and shoot three normal shots. The built-in microphone works only in a quiet place; for stable results use an external microphone (preferably wireless) or a piezo sensor on the bow handle.
- PHONE: a second phone on your bow detects the movement. On it, open the app, press MOTION SENDER, then CONNECT & START SENSOR. Important: use the same ddmatrix.eu account on both phones! When the sensor phone connects, the looper asks “Switch to the PHONE trigger?”: press Switch to PHONE. Works in noisy places too. If the sensor phone’s screen goes to sleep, switch off its automatic screen lock in the phone settings, or the program will not work correctly.
- Shoot. The replay plays in a loop right after the shot. Tap the middle of the screen to pause, the left and right edges to step frame by frame. Pinch with two fingers (or use the mouse wheel) to zoom; every new start begins at 1:1.
- Next shot: press NEXT (or turn on AUTO MODE in the settings). SAVE keeps a clip (on a computer you can choose the save folder once in the settings under Saving, Browse…). EXIT stops everything.
Keep the app on screen while you train: if it goes to the background, it stops and you press START LOOPER again.
Train alone all the time? Tick Keep this name (do not ask at START) in the settings, and START LOOPER will not ask for the name.
